Printed and hand-stitched some A5-sized portfolio booklets a few months ago while I was in NYC. A collection of my recent works from 2014-2015.
One of my favourite things to do is to make simple zines like these. They’re lightweight, and portable, and so fun to create. It’s also really rewarding to have physical prints of my digital works. I am encouraged by the amount of relatively decent pieces I’ve done in the last couple years.
A little development on some personal art.
I realised that I’ve been drawing these cats (if you can call them that) since early 2014. So recently I decided to do more paintings of them. I didn’t think I would enjoy making ‘cute’ illustrations so much, but I do. I really, really do! They really bring a smile to my face, and more encouragingly, to others too.
Got super busy with work and school the last couple months. But here’s continuing my A-Z art challenge with Captain Hook and Sandman’s Delirium.
Set myself a personal painting challenge. To pick and draw/paint a fictional character from A to Z.
I think this is great for me, especially during those moments I find myself too paralysed to do anything when I actually want to do everything at the same time. Perhaps this method would also be great for anyone lacking inspiration… or rather, having too much inspiration.
